Pauline (Fowl) White, 80 of St. Paul, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Morning Breeze in Greensburg. Pauline was born on January 29, 1938 in Decatur County, the daughter of Robert and Bertha (Lubkeman) Fowl. She graduated from Greensburg High School in 1956 and married James C. White on May 11, 1958 at the First Christian Church in Greensburg.
Pauline worked for 5 years at Johnston Wholesale Company and then was a homemaker and always helped her husband Jim on the farm. She was always involved in her children and grandchildren’s lives and events they participated in. She was a member of the First Christian Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, a Deaconess and a Bible School helper for many years. She also helped with the church service at Morning Breeze for over 10 years. Pauline was a past member of the Clinton Home Ec Club, Greensburg Adult Center, Historical Society, Rural Couples and was a former 4-H leader. She enjoyed gardening and visiting and making crafts for nursing homes.
Survivors include her son – Thomas (Lori) White of St. Paul; her daughters – Rita Grimes of St. Paul and Debbie (Kurt) Stuecher of Greensburg; eight grandchildren – Bryan (Becca) White, Matthew (Lindsay) White, Jeffrey (Stephanie) White, Brandon Warren, Adam Warren, Ashley Grimes, Kurt Stuecher and Michael Stuecher; and six great grandchildren – Lily and Charlotte Warren, John, Raven and Dante Stuecher and Rylee White. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her sister Lucille Fowl.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 from 3PM – 7PM at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the First Christian Church with Rev. Danny Wolford officiating. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery.
