It is sad to hear this news.  I enjoyed flying with Pete at PSA Airlines 25 years ago.  My condolences to the family.

Pete was well respected by the faculty staff and students at VU. Many young pilots are better and safer because of the training he provided.

Pete,  I have always carried the memories of the times we flew together in the Jetstream and the Dornier.  You were always patient and good to me.  I am glad we were able to reconnect on Facebook.  RIP my friend and May your journey West be smooth and calm.

Pete and I  flew together close to 100 times over 9 years.  We shared many cookouts together as he lived a few miles away.   The memories go back 28 years. Our first conversation was in Evansville Indiana, 1995 sitting at a Bo Jangles restaurant on our birthdays as we shared the same day. I'm happy I was able to visit him 2 years ago.  He continued his love of aviation teaching after he retired from flying.  I will miss him 

To Pete's family and all his many friends, on his final flight west, may you find peace and hold your memories close.  From CAK to IND, I am happy to have called him friend.  Ellen
