

Ann Rita (Heidegger) Murphy, 82 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday October 25, 2025, at 8:50 PM at EverHeart Hospice Care Center, Greenville, Ohio. Ann was born May 6, 1943, in Portland, Indiana, the daughter of the late Walter and Ruth (Wiley) Heidegger.
Ann retired in 2008 after working as a bookkeeper for 20 years at Citizens Bank, 10 years for Randolph County, and 10 years at Crossroads Credit Union. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Greenville where she sang in the choir and in the Priscella Circle at church.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Duane Murphy on December 4, 2011, whom she married June 1, 1963; and her brother, Carl Heidegger.
Ann is survived by her children, Delana and Dennis Jutte of Fort Recovery and Alan and Misty Murphy of Greenville; her grandchildren, Zachary Murphy, Jordan Murphy, Chris Hunley, Zachary Hunley, Erica Jutte, Ethan Jutte, and Evan Jutte; numerous great grandchildren; her brother and sister in law, Harold and Liz Heidegger of North Carolina; and her sister in law Diane Heidegger of Portland, Indiana.
A Celebration of Ann’s Life will be held on Saturday November 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Alliyah Blakeley officiating. Burial will follow in Weimer Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or EverHeart Hospice.
