Barbara J. Mowery

Barbara Joyce Mowery, age 84 of Greenville, Ohio passed away peacefully at 9:55 AM on Friday, June 10, 2022 at the Village Green Health Care Center, Greenville, Ohio. Born in Darke County, Ohio on January 24, 1938 she was a daughter to the late Ralph A. & Louie (Wright) Snyder. Barbara had worked for Shellar Globe for 27 years, and then at Neff Co., which she retired from in 2003. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Greenville. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling with her husband Ted; they extensively traveled the United States in their motorhome. They also enjoyed camping, and snowmobiling in Michigan. Barbara had a love for horses, and collecting toothpick holders. She had over 700 toothpick holders in her collection. More than anything she loved to spend time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, she will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Ted E. Mowery in 2004: son Kevin Mowery: great-granddaughter Paislee Young: sisters Alice Runner; Kathryn “Fay” Meyers: brother Jerry (Marge) Snyder: brother-in-laws Bill Abner; Ben Kreitzer: nephew Doug Snyder: nieces Robin Snyder; Rhonda Cummings.

Survived by her children Bonita “Bonnie” (Herb) Albert; Karen (Tom) Tomlinson; Robert (Katrina) Mowery: grandchildren Jeremy (Christy) Archie; Brent Riddle (Chaz Eniman); Jessica (Treddy) Johnson; Jami Riddle; Kyle (Laura) Mowery; Tyler (Lindsay) Mowery; Ryan (Amanda) Mowery; Ashley Mowery; Blake Mowery: great-grandchildren Layne (Hannah) Moore; Katelyn Archie; Kristina Archie; Conner Archie; Mariah Riddle; Mallory Riddle; Micah Riddle; Mason Riddle; Malachi Riddle; Mathius Riddle; Austin Parkman (Kendra Bay); Izaiah Parkman (Whitney McCoy); Destinee Parkman; Chase Fitzgerald; Jakoby Tomlinson; Lily Mowery; Robbie Mowery; Allie Mowery; Rylan Mowery; Kevin Mowery; Kenton Bright; Chloe Young: 9 great-great grandchildren:6 step-grandchildren: 9 step-great-grandchildren: 5 step-great-great grandchildren: siblings Joan Abner; Sue Kreitzer; Ralph (Ellen) Snyder.

Friends may call on the family from 1:00 PM- 3:00 PM on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Jim Morehouse presiding. Burial at Oakgrove Cemetery, Fort Jefferson, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Darke County Shrine Club.
