

Cynthia Marie Chrisman, age 81 of Arcanum, Ohio peacefully went to Heaven and was reunited with her beloved husband Keith on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026. Cindy was born March 20, 1945, in Greenville, Ohio and is the daughter of the late Stanley Christian and Rose Marie (Zahn) James.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Keith J. Chrisman, Sr. whom she married June 28, 1963, an infant Rusty Edward Chrisman in 1968 and cousin Becky Zuklich.
Cindy is survived by her children Jay (Brenda) Chrisman, Hallie (Scott) Foureman and Kim (Marvin) Epperson. Also her grandchildren Tailor (Chance) Thomas, Lucas (Audrey) Chrisman, Colby (Kiera) Chrisman, Stuart (Lexi) Epperson and Cheyeanne Epperson; great grandchildren Brantley Weaver, Mason Epperson, Malcolm Chrisman, Ryatt Thomas, Vivienne Chrisman and Carsyn Thomas; step mother Alice Christian; sisters Nancy McClurg, Patty (Bob) Bunger, Debra Sawle, and Rosie (Marty) Hobbs; special cousins Dave (Kate) Christian, Charlotte (Dick) Wright, Joyce (Neal) Vore, Gail (Tom) Fourman, Sharon Fiddler and many nieces and nephews.
Cindy and Keith were successful dairy farmers in the New Madison and Arcanum area for nearly 30 years. Later she worked for Allied Signal (Fram), Leis Realty, Midwest Auctioneers and retired from the Neff Co. in 2010. Cindy founded and was president of the Darke Co. Dairy Association where she developed the milk sale at the Darke Co. Fair for the 4-H and FFA fair exhibitors. She also volunteered for the Cancer and Heart Association of Darke Co. for over 20 years. She was a member of the Castine Church where she served on the Witness Commission, flower committee and welcome center board. Cindy was a lifetime antique enthusiast attending many local auctions. She thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren’s ball games, tractor pulls, dog and horse shows.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, April 9th at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville Ohio, with Eric Laux officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio, and on Thursday from 9:30 am until time of the services at the funeral home.
