Evelyn Theresa Heindl, age 84 of Pitsburg, Ohio passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the EverHeart Hospice Care Center. Born in Greenville on March 10, 1937 she was a daughter to the late Elder & Irene (Anthony) Magoteaux. Evelyn loved to play cards, and through the years she was in many card clubs; at one point she was in 4 at the same time. She enjoyed listening to country music, and when she and her friend heard each other’s favorite songs, they would call each other and put their phones up to the radio.
She also loved to go shopping with the girls. Throughout her life, her husband “Cork” worked second shift. She lived her life on that same schedule, so it was very normal for you to be able to call her at midnight just to chat, and she had a friend that did just that. Between midnight and 2 AM she would be up doing laundry, dishes or cooking. It is well known that some of the best birthday cakes she made, were made after midnight. She loved her family, and will be so deeply missed. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Louis “Cork” Heindl, Jr. whom she married June 6, 1959: son Chuck Heindl: sisters Pat Johnson; Wanda & Marvin Reck; Mary Ann Magoteaux in infancy: brother Jim & Helen Magoteaux: sister –in-law Shirley Heindl.
Survived by her children Patrick & Twyla Heindl of TX; Tim & Kelly Heindl of NH; Theresa & Eric Hess of Greenville; Chip Heindl of Pitsburg: grandchildren Cammie & John Frost; Conner & Emily Heindl; Caitlin Heindl; Max Heindl; Anna Heindl; Taylor Heindl; Zack & Courtney Heindl; Alex Heindl & fiancée Alicia Davis; Andy & Casey Heindl; Sarah & Josh Estep: 12 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way: brothers Ron & Carole Magoteaux; John & Susie Magoteaux: sister Jane & Ted Dryzga: daughter-in-law Barb Heindl: brother-in-law Marion Johnson: sisters-in-law Nancy & Ken Baker; Pat & Garry Fourman: brother-in-law Tom Heindl: as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and family.
