Joan Gokcen, age 87 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away Friday, February 20,2026, at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville. Joan was born in Hamilton Township, New Jersey on May 28, 1938, to the late Howard and Helen Edwards. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her son, Craig S. Gokcen; and her siblings, Howard Edwards and Helen Kessler.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Cem Gokcen whom she married on April 11, 1969, her stepson, Dr. Eric and Corinne Gokcen, her grandchildren Curtis and Erika, and her nephews, Skip Edwards and Jeffrey Edwards.
Private services will be held at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery.
