Jim was born on February 3, 1947, in Greenville to the late Robert Lee & Betty Louise (Fitzgerald) Doss Sr. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Doss Jr., and sister, Pamela Hutchison.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Anderson; special friend, Shirley Allread; sisters, Sharon Wintrow, Karen & Doug Lowder, Cindy & Neil Colland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Jim formerly worked as a paramedic, emergency medical technician, and worked in the emergency room. He then later retired from Fram/Honeywell in Greenville where he was a machinist. Jim was a member of the Greenville Moose, VFW, and American Legion.
