She was the daughter of the late John Ernest Smith and Elloree Rogers Smith. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister Kathryn Victoria Smith.
Marie was a graduate of Greenville High School and attended Furman University. She was a member of Eastlan Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 11:00am at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
