Alma Jean Brown Adams

She was born in Greenville, SC and was the daughter of the late Julius Rought Brown and Dovie Elizabeth Reeves.

Mrs. Adams assisted her late first husband of 61 years, Grady A. Brown, Sr., with his business, Brown’s TV Sales and Service until their retirement. She was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church and was an active member of the senior adults group.

In addition to her parents and first husband, she was predeceased by 4 sisters, Lonie Coleman, Mamie Ward, Beatrice Davis and Layuna Brown.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are 3 sons, Grady A. Brown, Jr., Royce R. Brown and Arnold L. Brown (Angie); 2 daughters, Loveta Kelly (James) and Teresa Neale (George); 6 grandchildren, Colleen Eubanks, Sean Kelly, Adrienne Lowery, Karla Brown, Lewis Brown and Kevin Brown; and 6 great-grandchildren, Katie Eubanks, Sophie Eubanks, Isaac Lowery, Kane Lowery, Gwyneth Kelly and Ayden Brown.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in the chapel of The Mackey Mortuary with Dr. D.J. Horton officiating.

Burial will follow at Graceland East Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service.
