Anita Louise Langley, born on the 4th of July, 1937, and a lifelong resident of Greenville County, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at the age of 77. Anita was the daughter of the late William Louie and Ruby Smith Langley and is survived by her sister Jean Wilkes and her brother Bill Langley. She was a loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Anita was a lifelong member of Piedmont Park Methodist Church. She graduated from Paris High School in 1955 where she played basketball, receiving several block letters. Anita loved to learn and received a degree in 1966 from Draughon's Business College in Greenville. Anita truly loved others and often considered their wishes above her own. She will be remembered for her warm, loving smile and her grateful spirit. Her faith in Jesus Christ was clearly apparent and encouraging to others. She cherished her family and friends, always looking forward to family reunions where she would fellowship with her many relatives and friends. She could always be depended on for pleasant conversation and a loving smile. A service will be held Friday, October 24 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Greenville. www.woodlawn-fh.com.The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
