Ann Huckabee

Born on May 27, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Grace Blackburn and Charles L. Townsend Sr. Ann married her beloved husband Ted C. Huckabee in 1948 and together they raised three children. She spent her career at Carolina Federal Savings and Loan, where she was a dedicated worker and fulfilled many roles. Ann was a lifelong member of Greenville ARP Church where she sang in the choir, and she was also a member of both The Music Club of Greenville and The Red Hat Society.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, their daughter Carolyn Cleveland Whitworth, her brother Charles Townsend Jr., as well as an infant sister, Grace Townsend.

Ann is survived by her daughter Terry Chandler (Allen); son Charles Huckabee; son-in-law Pat Whitworth; grandchildren Amy Chandler (Joshua), Zeke Whitworth (Amanda), Cari Whitworth, and Allison Greer (Jonathan); great-grandchildren Sam (Becky), Kierian (Emm), Sebastian, Rhianon, Caydence, John Paul, Alistair, Grace, Peter, and James; as well as one great-great-grandson, Lucas.

A visitation for Ann will be held Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Greenville ARP Church, 741 Cleveland St, Greenville, SC 29601, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM. A committal service will be held at a later date in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann's name may be made to the charity of your choice.
