Bernice Jones

Bernice was known for her creativity and loving spirit. She enjoyed making dolls, sewing her own clothing, shopping, cooking big meals, and baking. A devoted Jehovah’s Witness, she loved attending meetings and conventions and reading her Bible.

Born to the late Clarence Bivings, Sr. and Dolly Kennedy Bivings Holland, Bernice was also the beloved wife of the late Joe Jones.

She is survived by her sisters Ruby (A.P.) Benson of Greer, SC, and Patricia Morris of Columbia, SC; her brothers Raymond (Anglia) Bivings, Jake (Dorothy) Bivings of Taylors, SC, and Clarence Jr. (Margaret) Bivings of Greer, SC. She is also lovingly remembered by 13 nephews, 11 nieces, her special friend Kim Perrin, and her Jehovah brothers and sisters.

Bernice was preceded in death by her brothers James L. Bivings, Charles L. Bivings, and Ray C. Bivings, and her sisters Mae Bivings, Dot Bivings, Shirley Bivings, and Sylvia Bivings.

A visitation for Bernice will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609 followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM.

Bernice will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
