Born in Greensboro, NC, she was a daughter of the late Spurgeon Gilmore and Elsie Nowell Wilson. Mrs. Dean was a homemaker and a member of Providence Baptist Church. She was a faithful servant.
Mrs. Dean is survived by a daughter, CindaRie Dean; a son, Dr. Paul J. Dean, Jr. and wife Mary T. Dean; three grandchildren, Paul J. "Jay" Dean, III and wife Bailey, Christi E. Johnson and husband Matthew, and Amelia G. "Amy" Dean; and a great grandson, Paul J. "Rome" Dean, IV.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 3:00 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Dr. Paul J. Dean, Jr. with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home prior to the service.
