Betty was originally from the Shreveport, LA area and supported her husband through his college days at LSU and then his career as they moved to Houston, TX and Atlanta, GA where they raised their family. They enjoyed spending their retirement years near family in Shreveport and Atlanta for several years before moving to Easley, SC. Betty enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, being involved in the Newcomers Club and church groups.
She is survived by two sons, Steven Harrison (Sherry) of Roswell, GA and David Harrison of Taylors, SC; a daughter, Cathy Pendergrass (John) of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren, Brian Harrison, Justin Harrison (Katie), Ryan Pendergrass and Laura Pendergrass; brothers, Glen Vance and Mack Vance and sisters, Bertha Thomas and Mary Smith (Steve), all of Louisiana and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Corbie and Chloe Vance, and siblings, Carlton Vance, Helen Sanders and Corbie Vance, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harvest Hope or Easley First Baptist Church, St Jude's Hospital or the charity of your choice.
