Bill was a friend and co-worker of mine for 20 years. I wished I had known of his passing but am just finding out today, July 26, 2023. My friend Elaine Bouvier and I was talking and she brought up knowing Marcus and Joni Lamb and then I chimed in that I worked with Joni’s dad and then the conversation led to Bills passing. I pray that the family is doing well and sending my regards to you all.

Writing from Houston, Texas, I, a native houstonian, just got through watching Joni's Table Talk about the family's Journey with her parents, Bill and Sandra. I felt the genuineness of Mr. Bill Trammel's character and integrity.  What a wonderful gentle man!

Bill was a true friend and a blessing to the Body of Christ. When I was attending Lee  College, Cleveland, TN in the mid 60's Bill would greet me many times at Tremont Avenue COG when I was home for the week-end and put money in my pocket and it met a great need in my life at that moment. We enjoyed fellowship and played a lot of basketball together at the church gym. During that time Bill taught me about "Basketball Evangelism". Invite guys to play ball and then invite them to church and share the gospel. He was always cool, calm and gentle  and I was the opposite and he would pat me on the back and say "take it easy Johnny". 
He was a walking testimony for the Lord Jesus Christ and I was blessed to be his friend.

We have always loved Bill and Sandra-and Bill was a part of my Men's prayer breakfast as well. I have also heard many stories all the way back to the Young Men's Sunday School class at Tremont that my Father-in-law Bill Moore taught when Bill was a teenager.

We always loved looking out our window and see Bill sitting in our swing. He told us it was so peaceful sitting there. We will miss him. Love and prayers to Sandra and the family.
