
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry H. Zaglin, who passed away in 1995.
She is survived by a sister, Irene Talansky of NY; her daughter, Evelyn Z. Beslow of Hartsdale, NY; her sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Robert Zaglin (Laura) of San Francisco, CA; Ken Zaglin (Donna) of Vashon, WA; and Jeff Zaglin (Erica) of Greenville. Her grandchildren, Dr. Lauren Beslow and Jonathan Zaglin, Casey and Aaron Zaglin, Lea, Julia and Ben Zaglin, Alex Christie and Carrie Zaglin, and her great grandson Jonah Kaye, are her legacy and a testament to a life well lived.
The entire family wishes to express our deepest thanks to Julia Mae Hooker, as well as to Bea Moore, Clara Williams, Glenda Young, Nannie Cohen, Maggie Evans (deceased), and Elizabeth Brock, for their love and care that allowed Mrs. Zaglin to live out her life on her own terms.
Mrs. Zaglin was a wife, mother, and homemaker. A transplanted northerner, her life in Greenville was one of a love of nature, learning, books, and her adopted community. She was always involved in some capacity with the Greenville Public School system. Her four children are all products of Greenville’s finest educational institutions. She was a longstanding member of Congregation Beth Israel and was active in every aspect of the Synagogue.
Graveside services will be held at Beth Israel Cemetery, 4814 White Horse Rd., Greenville SC on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 1:00 PM. Rabbi Mathew Marko will officiate. Following the burial, a Shiva Minyan will be held at Congregation Beth Israel, 425 Summit Dr., Greenville, SC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beth Israel Synagogue General Fund, to the Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund, or to a charity of one’s own choosing.
