Carol spent her career running offices for companies such as Laribee Wire and Solvay Paperboard. She retired from her final job at Cayuga Counseling to become the full-time caretaker for her widowed father in 1996. Always the consummate professional, Carol did the job of 3 people at every office she worked with calm efficiency, humor and kindness. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a great supporter of music and attended every concert, marching band show and musical of her children and grandchildren.

Carol raised her children in Auburn, NY and then Jordan, NY, and remained close to her parents and nurtured tight family bonds. Carol moved to Wilmington, North Carolina in 2012 with her daughter, Wendi, and son-in-law Chad Kittlaus. Carol loved the beach, the warm weather, and being retired. Carol was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s around 2020 and moved into various elder care facilities until her death in 2025.
