MENSAJE DE LA FAMILIA
Well as sad as it is, I just wanted to make an appreciation post for this lovely lady. Last night, my grandma, Carole Owens met with the lord after a short but long 2 week battle with liver cancer. 2 weeks ago she was diagnosed, was still able to walk and talk, but all the sudden was extremely jaundice. By mid week before last, she could no longer walk. By mid friday last week she became completely unable to move or speak. My mom and I cared for her all weekend giving meds, changing her, reading her all of her favorite bible verses, sharing our gratitude and good memories, etc. When she passed I was fortunate enough to be right there with her holding her hand. She also had 8 other of her beloved family members right there in there room as well, it was very peaceful to finally see her not struggle any longer. She did not deserve to suffer the way she has for the past 2 weeks but she is finally at rest. This lady did not have a mean bone in her body, she taught me how to do God’s work through the things you do for others, and how to give my grandpa a hard time. She meant the world to me. If I ever needed encouragement she was right there rooting and praying for me. She would always keep my college & work schedule and times i would be driving written down so she could pray for me while I was driving. She has been my word of reason and my happy place, but it is of my greatest pleasure that I was right there with her and she is no longer in that awful pain. So to the wonderful lady I call grandma, I love you, and I thank you so much for all of our wonderful times together, that I will forever cherish. Love Tori Cote
