

Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, Cam was a man of deep faith, strong character and a drive to always serve those around him. He later made his home in Taylors, South Carolina, where he became an active and beloved member of his community.
Cam was a man of deep faith whose life reflected his love for Jesus through his service to others. He was actively involved with Gideons International and the Good News Club, and he found great joy in teaching Sunday school and participating in several missions trips. His dedication to ministry touched many lives over the years.
He had a wide range of interests and hobbies, including genealogy, photography, collecting antiques, reading and studying history. Cam especially loved to travel and was always eager to learn and experience new places.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sandra Hawkins Ferguson; his sister Jeanne (Gary); his children, Kelley O’Dell (Rob Sr.) of Moncks Corner and Brad Ferguson (Michelle) of Fort Mill. He was the proud grandfather to Jenna (Jordan), Robby (Maddie), Lindsay (Josh), Logan (Aru) and Luke, and a great-grandfather to Griffin and Harper.
Cam was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Emily Ferguson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gideons International (Southern Greenville Camp, P.O. Box 1941, Taylors, South Carolina 29687), Taylors First Baptist Reach Ministry or Good News Club at Taylors Elementary School.
Cam’s life was a testimony of faith and service. His family takes great comfort knowing he is fully healed and with his Lord and Savior he spent his life serving. His legacy will live on in the many lives he touched.
Receiving of family and friends will be held at Taylor’s First Baptist Church (chapel) on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 1:30pm-2:15pm. His celebration of life service will follow in the chapel at 2:30pm.
