Charles "Bud" Robert Granger, age 93, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, passed away of dementia on Friday, June 21, 2024. He was born on January 31, 1931 in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Dee and Lena Granger.
Bud graduated Parker High School. He played basketball at Furman University when nationally ranked, and was later inducted into Furman's Hall of Fame. Bud was a Senior Executive at Burger King and Hardee's.
Bud is survived by his loving wife, June Brooks Granger; daughters Gina, Michele and Catherine; son Buddy; and step-kids Hal, Doug, and Angie. He was predeceased by sister, Bobbi, brothers Frank, Spec and Joe, and daughter, Cheri.
A celebration of life for Bud will be held Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609. A committal service will occur immediately following at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
