Cherelyn was a devoted animal lover and she enjoyed caring for and spending time with all her animals. She was a very creative and vibrant soul. She owned a florist shop at one point in her life and loved designing and creating different floral arrangements. Her favorite show to watch was The Walking Dead.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Lee Blackburn, Sr., and her sons, Gary Lee Blackburn, Jr. (Angelica Herrera Blackburn) and Jonathan Dalton Blackburn (Rachael Blackburn). She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Ciera, CJ, Skylar, Shian, Dalton, Mason, Ellie, Santiago, and the arrival of baby Hylan, expected in December 2025. She is also survived by her mother, Valerie Avril Dalton.
She was predeceased by her father, John Dalton, and her grandparents, Lyman and Christine Dalton.
Services for Cherelyn will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in the mausoleum at Woodlawn Memorial Park immediately following the service.
