

Craig was born on September 2, 1955 in Hartford, CT and was the eldest son of Glenn McKernon Hall and Sara Freedly Hall. He graduated from Ramapo Regional High School in Franklin Lakes, NJ, and went on to study Chemistry and Medicine at the University of Rochester, where he earned an MD-PhD. After completing a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard University’s Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Craig joined the medical faculty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He later completed further post-doctoral studies at the University of South Florida and finished his career as a pathologist at Dianon Systems, Inc. in Tampa.
Craig was an avid cyclist and a lover of music, film, the visual arts, classic cars and animals of all kinds. He played both the piano and the trumpet, and enjoyed gardening and cooking. Craig is survived by his sister, Lisa Hall, of Greenville, SC, and by an uncle and six cousins.
No funeral services are planned at this time, but the family will appreciate donations to the American Diabetes Association (link below) given in Craig’s memory.
