

Cynthia was born to Alfred Howell and Ruby Durn Fowler on October 25, 1934, in Stroud, England.
In 1952, she married James B. Cantrell, while he was stationed in England. For the next 27 years, as a military wife, Cynthia played a vital support role for her spouse and family. This role involved navigating frequent moves, deployments and managing the household often as a primary caregiver and household manager.
Cynthia loved time spent with her family. She was an avid reader who especially enjoyed reading to her great granddaughter. She also took pleasure in watching PBS and BritBox.
Cynthia is survived by daughters; Jane Cantrell and Susan Cantrell (Van Hancock); granddaughter, Sarah Bobotis (George) and great granddaughter Kate Bobotis, all of Greenville, South Carolina. She is also survived by sister Pam Parker of Wales; brothers John Howell (Harriet) of Hereford, England, and Alan Fowler (Sheila) of Gloucestershire, England.
Cynthia was predeceased by her husband, James, of 72 years.
The family is forever grateful for the love and support that Cynthia received at the Hospice of the Foothills.
