Deborah Lee Dodson

Deborah Lee (Aiken) Dodson of Greer, South Carolina, was born March 8, 1956 in Harnett County, North Carolina. She went to school in North Carolina before moving to Florida. She had the privilege to play clarinet with her high school’s marching band at the opening ceremony of Cinderella’s castle at Disney World. Deborah graduated from Cary High School in NC in 1974.

Deborah received an associates degree in Drafting from Wake Technical College in North Carolina and a Bible Certificate from Word of Life Bible Institute in New York. After college, she lived in North Carolina, where her children were born and raised and then moved to South Carolina. She continued to study and earned another associates degree as a Pharmacy Technician making it on the Dean’s List at Greenville Technical College. She finished her career in human resources and recycling.

Deborah loved spending time with her family, playing with her grandchildren and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone she met. She is predeceased by her mother Glenda Aiken. She is survived by her siblings, her three children, Lorrie, Pamela, and Michael (Bethany), and her grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Touched by ALS. It is a non-profit organization that directly helps ALS patients with specific equipment and care for both the patient and caregivers.
