Dora was born September 20, 1934 in Greenville , SC to the late John Prater Hall and Mamie Green Hall. She was the widow of the late Gordon Byron Preston.
Dora is survived by her daughters; Donna Preston Vance (Daniel), Deborah Preston Crawford (Chip) and Lynne Preston Willis (Ronnie). Also surviving Dora are brother; John Hall Jr. (Judy), 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Dora was predeceased by her brother; Marion Hall and sister; Frances King.
Dora was a homemaker who loved her grandchildren. She loved flowers and in her later years, she love the art of adult coloring and gave many of her pictures to family.
Dora was of the Baptist faith and was a devoted listener of Dr. Charles Stanley.
Due to COVID 19 protocols, a public viewing with social distance guidelines in place, will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm for all who wish to pay their respects to Dora at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC. The family will be holding a private service and burial at a later time.
