

Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Ella Mae Marchbanks Green will be held at Mauldin United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 2:30pm. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 12:30pm – 2:15pm at the church. A private burial will follow the service.
Ella Mae was born in Liberty, SC on February 26, 1922, and was the daughter of the late Rev. Claude Vance Marchbanks, Sr., and Ethel Mae Wilbanks Marchbanks. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd S. Green, Sr., of 70 years. She is also survived by her children, Betty Green Mitchell (John); Lloyd S. Green, Jr. (Margaret); Mary Jane Green Vaughn, deceased; and Sara Ruth Green; a sister, Margaret Garren and a brother, Claude Marchbanks, Jr. Mrs. Green also has ten grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her daughter, Ella Mae was preceded in death by three sisters, Alice Ellison, Clara Johnson, and Helen Marchbanks; three brothers, Jack D. Marchbanks, E. Eugene Marchbanks, and Charles W. Marchbanks; and a great granddaughter Anne Catherine Kinerney.
Mr. and Mrs. Green were honored by Mauldin United Methodist Church by receiving the Heritage Award in 2003. Mrs. Green was also a member of the Empire Chapter 251 of the Order of the Eastern Star for over twenty years, where she was Worthy Matron for five years.
The family extends a special thank you to Agape Hospice and the loving care given by Gina Decker, Tammy Donald and Ray Guin.
