Elsie Mae Barker Ducker, 96 of Spartanburg, SC passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013. She was born on January 4, 1917 in Greenville County. She was an avid gardener and bird watcher. Elsie was predeceased by her husband: B. F. Ducker and three sons: Donald Ducker, Bobby Ducker, and Staff Sergeant Ronald Ducker. She was a "GOLD STAR" mother, which is an organization of mothers who have lost a child in the service of our country. She is survived by three children: Harriett Richards of Woodruff, Larry Ducker (Margaret) of Spartanburg, Sandy Young (Charles) of Easley; a sister: Cora Coker of Simpsonville; five grandchildren; two great-granddaughters and one great-great- grandson.
