Javier Gomez

Javier Gomez, age 64, of Greenville, South Carolina passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022, he was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico in 1958 and to his close family and friends he was known as "Dracula."

Javier was full of life and enjoyed being a husband, father and grandpa. He was also a restaurant owner of Papa's and Beer, with 10 restaurants that he loved being a part of everyday. Known for his friendly smile, he greeted his guests warmly and was a very hard worker. In addition to building and designing his restaurants, he also designed and built his dream house, one that would bring his family together and be loved by his grandkids.

He was a person to give to others and always worried about those that were less fortunate. He loved his wife Connie and they were inseparable. They were married for 39 years and they had a blessed life alongside their four children that grew into a family of 19. His 10 grandkids were his life and he always made certain that they were happy and cared for.

Javier ran marathons in Los Angeles, San Diego and Arizona. He loved music and dancing as well as riding motorcycles. His favorite vacation spot was on the beach in Cancun.

Javier is survived by his wife, Connie Gomez; his daughter Jannira Martinez; his son Francisco Gomez; and his daughters Crystal Ibarra and Alexis Gomez.

A visitation for Javier will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, SC 29607. A funeral service will occur Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 2252 Woodruff Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
