

Mark graduated from Eastside High School in 1976 and then went on to earn a degree in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University. He married Vicki Seagraves and together they raised 6 children. Mark worked as an electrical engineer for over 40 years before his battle with cancer made him retire earlier than he desired.
Mark was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he served willingly and tirelessly for many years.
Mark's impact on people's lives was immeasurable and his loyalty to family and friends was an abiding light for them. His family, church, friends, golf and music were his greatest passions in life. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor and his devotion to his family. His wife was the love of his life and he hers.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Victoria Seagraves Witbeck, and their children: Paul Witbeck, Shane Witbeck (Emilee), Craig Witbeck, Mark Witbeck, and Sara Kate Witbeck. He is also survived by his siblings, Julie Brewer (Brad), David Witbeck (Gretchen), and Pam Deakins. Jay was predeceased by his parents, Jay Martin and Sara Sloan Witbeck, and his son, Ian Jake Witbeck.
Visitation will be held at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, located at 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609, on November 17, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral for Mark will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1301 Boiling Springs Road Greer, SC 29650.
