Jeannie Welch Fuller, 62, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 25, 2025. Jeannie will be remembered by all for her passion for Christ, her warmth, and her sweet and gentle sprit. Her kindness and her upbeat countenance were evident to all whom she met. Her life was spent serving Jesus, her family and others as an overflow of her heart of compassion.
Jeannie devoted her life to her Lord and her family, reflecting Christ’s love in all that she did. Her warm smile and her gentle disposition made her easy to love and she impacted everyone she met--stranger, acquaintance or long-time friend.
She was the treasured and adored wife of Chip Fuller for over 35 years, and the absolute love of his life. She was the cherished mom to Emily, John and Caroline, and fun-loving GiGi to Beau and Millie, who fast became the center of her affection, always bringing smiles, hugs, giggles and good times at every opportunity she had to be with them.
Professionally, Jeannie was a trauma nurse and worked as the preschool director of Northside Baptist Church in Valdosta, Georgia. Most recently, she worked at the Trauma Resilience and Recovery Coordinator at Prisma Health Richland in Columbia. Through all her endeavors, Jeannie’s heart of compassion drove her to care for and serve others.
Jeannie was the recipient of a heart transplant in 2007 and a kidney transplant in 2024 and was a living and walking miracle for over 18 and half years. She lived life to the fullest and her passing was way too soon. Though the hearts of her family and friends are broken, we all rejoice in the fact that she is completely healed and at total peace in the arms of Jesus. Her legacy of faith continues to unfold as her kind acts of service and care for others are revealed through each conversation with those who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents W. L. Welch, Jr and Gladys Welch Winter and is survived by Chip Fuller, her husband of 35 years, her children Emily Bowen (Jake), John Fuller (Mallory) and Caroline Fuller, her cherished grandchildren Beau Bowen, Millie Blake Bowen, her sisters Rita Whitesides (Joel), Pam Carr (Stephen), niece Mary Frampton Whitesides, nephew Matthew Carr (Jeanne), Catherine Tekac (Tyler) and other cousins and family.
A funeral service for Jeannie will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Brushy Creek Baptist Church, 4999 Old Spartanburg Rd. Taylors, SC 29687 followed by a burial at 3:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Dr. Greenville, SC 29609.
