Jeffrey “Jeff” Hamilton Turner passed away unexpectedly at his home in Taylors, SC, on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. He was 60 years old. Though gone too soon, Jeff’s spirit, kindness, and joy left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Born in Greenville, SC, Jeff was the son of Franklin G. Turner (1931–1989) and Jean C. Turner (1935–2022). He was the youngest of three siblings, and is lovingly remembered alongside his sister, Julie Ann Turner (b./d.1962). Family was everything to Jeff, and he held those closest to him in his heart with unwavering devotion.
A proud graduate of Wade Hampton High School (Class of 1983), Jeff excelled both on the football field and in the art room. He continued his education at Mars Hill College, graduating in 1987, where he deepened his lifelong love of painting and the outdoors. These twin passions, creativity and nature, remained central throughout his life.
For 38 years, Jeff worked with dedication and integrity at Southeastern Products in Greenville. He took pride in his work and the people he worked alongside, many of whom became dear friends.
The true center of Jeff’s world was his wife and best friend of 34 years, Kelly Andrews Turner. Together they built a life filled with laughter, shared adventures, and the love of many four-legged companions: Peyton, Max, Bear, Chloe, Luna, and Fenway. Jeff also shared a profound bond with his nieces and nephew, loving them as if they were his own.
Jeff was a man of many talents to go along with a positive, fun loving, and adventurous spirit. Whether playing in local volleyball leagues, competing in dart tournaments, hiking trails, or diving into books and movies, he brought warmth and joy to every experience. An artist to the end, Jeff’s paintings and sketches continue to reflect his generous, gentle, and creative soul.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kelly; his sister Lindsey Deon and her husband Ken; his nephew Will Oncken and his wife Lena; his niece Caroline Murray and her husband Chris; great-nephew Colin Murray; great-niece Libby Oncken; and his loyal dogs, Luna and Fenway.
A visitation and memorial service will be held at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Dr. Greenville, SC 29609.
