

Jeri Sue was born in Greenville, North Carolina to the late William C. and Marjorie W. Clark on November 14, 1944. She was a 1962 graduate of J. H. Rose High School in Greenville, North Carolina, a 1964 graduate of Peace College in Raleigh, North Carolina and then went on to graduate from the radiology program at Duke Medical Center. Upon graduation, she worked as an x-ray technician at Duke Hospital in Durham. However, once her daughter was born, she became a full-time mother and found delight in her daughter and two sons. She moved to Greenville, South Carolina in 1969.
Jeri Sue volunteered with Meals on Wheels and taught Sunday school for many years at First Presbyterian Church. She was an avid tennis player on both the local and regional level. She loved Elvis Presley, President Donald J. Trump, and the Georgia “ Bulldawgs”. She was the best friend anyone could ask for and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Jeri Sue is survived by her three children, Elizabeth Ashley West, Linton “ Bubba” West III (Jennifer), Robert Clarke West; two grandchildren, Emmeline and Ginger West; her siblings, Frances Wilfong (Robin), Marjorie Harrington, Billy Clark (Nancy), and Becky Clark; many loving nieces and nephews; and three very special friends, Pat Traynham, Priscilla Reynolds, and Barkley Rickman.
A visitation for Jeri Sue will be held from 4:00 to 5:30 pm on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Mackey Funerals and Cremations, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, South Carolina. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Greenville, North Carolina.

Her daughter, Ashley, would like to extend a special thanks to those who took such wonderful care of her mother including Dana Hodges, Speech Pathologist, Dr. Freeman of Bon Secours Neurology, Dr. Barrett of Brio Internal Medicine, Dr. Ellett and staff of Ellett Family Dentistry, Mr. Friddle, therapist,as well as her friend and hairstylist, Audrey, and the staff at MJ’s Salon and Nails.
Her greatest journey has just begun.
