Joan was born September 20, 1930, in Newark, New Jersey to the late Herbert and Margaret Heddy.
She was a member of Grace Community Church in Marietta, Georgia.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James S. Wilkinson; daughter, Bonnie Davies; brother, Herbert Heddy; and two grandchildren: Gabriel Arroyo and Jamie Roper.
Survivors include sons: Bruce (Darlene) Wilkinson of Townville, SC, Robert (Peggy) Wilkinson of Alto, GA and Gordon (Cyndee) Wilkinson of Acworth, GA; daughters Patricia (Rick) Krinock of Wellford, SC, Sue (Luis) Llerena of Indianapolis, IN and Sueann Rogers of Carrollton, GA, 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Community Church, 770 Kennesaw Ave NW, Marietta, GA 30060, with Rev. Arthur Vanderveen officiating.
