John M. Hightower, Sr., 80, of Greenville passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2011. Born in Taylors,SC he was the son of the late Jesse C. and Ethel Crain Hightower. He retired as a Plastic Techinician with Hoechst-Celanese in Greer, SC and a member of Taylors First Baptist Church. John also served with the United States Marines during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife Lucille L. Hightower of Greenville; two sons: John M. Hightower, Jr. of Travelers Rest and Gregory M. Hightower of Simpsonville; a daughter: Ann H. Grady of Clinton; two grandchildren: John Lewis Hightower and Danielle Leigh Grady. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 12:00 pm in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in the funeral home.
