Born to loving parents who preceded him in death, Mr. Terry lived a life marked by devotion: to his family, to his country, and to his faith. A proud U.S. Navy Seabee veteran of the Vietnam War, he carried the spirit of service and quiet strength throughout his life. His family remembers him as a man of deep generosity, unwavering loyalty, and a gentle heart rooted firmly in his love for Jesus.
Mike is survived by his son, Michael (Shirley) Terry of Landrum, and his daughter, Melissa (Chris) Blackwell of Greenville, along with two cherished grandchildren who brought him immense joy. He also leaves behind a beloved brother and sister.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home. Their compassion, guidance, and steadfast care provided comfort during Mr. Terry’s journey with dementia. A special word of thanks is offered to the extraordinary team on Wing 5, whose kindness and support went far above expectation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home, in honor of the remarkable care shown to Mr. Terry.
May his legacy of faith, love, and service live on in all who knew him.
