

Born in Rochester, NY to the late Raffaele and Maria Federico Barone, she is survived by daughters Lenore (Gerald) Ozzimo and Valerie Magin, granddaughters Chrissa Ozzimo Fore and Michele (Dan) Fleming, and great grandchildren Carris and Landon Ozzimo Fore and Isabella and Eva Fleming, nieces Sandy (John) Sebastian and Margo Grammar, nephews Michael (Laurie) Crino and Sam (Sharon) Crino, and former son-in-law Joseph Drews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband Frank D. Magin.
She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church and a charter member of the Italian-American Club. Over the years, Jo volunteered for the Greenville Health System, Greenville Literacy, Project Host Soup Kitchen, and Concerned Citizens for Animals. She was a member of both Simpsonville and Mauldin Senior Centers and performed with the “Get Your Act Together Bunch.”
At the age of 70, Jo graduated with an Associate’s Degree from Greenville Technical College.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Church (2252 Woodruff Road in Simpsonville, SC) on Wednesday, April 27 at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends immediately after the Mass.
The family would like to thank Myra and Christie for their friendship and devotion to Mom. Appreciation is also extended to the wonderful and caring staff at Windsor House.
