Johnnie was the daughter of the late Robert L. Wilbanks and Derie Smith Wilbanks and step daughter of Edna Deshields Wilbanks.
She was a 1943 graduate of Parker High School. She retired from Dan River Woodsi de Mills.
Johnnie was preceded in death by her husband, Ellison Kay McCrary; her sister, Velma Lee Cox; her brother A.S. Wilbanks; and her son, John Bradford Carnes.
She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Carnes Ballard; her sister, Jo Wilbanks Biggs (Wayne); grandchildren: Paige, Robin, Clay and four great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 12, 2021 at McKinney Chapel Cemetery, Estatoee Community Road/State Road S-30-100, Sunset, SC 29685.
