Judy worked many years for her late brother, Reverend James H. Thompson, at Faith Printing Company and WGGSTV-16. She was a devoted wife who loved to travel, spend time with her friends, and participate in her water aerobic classes.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, William “Bill” Cody, brother, William Thomas Thompson (Janette), and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and life-long friends. She was predeceased by her son, Patrick L. Cody, brother, Reverend James H. Thompson, and sisters, Nell Adams Montgomery and Betty T. Glenn.
A visitation for family and friends will take place at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, South Carolina at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, with a funeral service at 12:00 PM in the chapel. Following the service, committal will take place in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
