Karrah Leary, 32, was born on October 24, 1986 in Morristown, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Chaplain (Col.) Johnson Griffin, Rebecca Griffin, and her fraternal grandparents Harvey Leary and Betty Leary. Karrah is survived by her father, Michael Leary, her mother, Rebecca Leary, her sister, Brielle Leary, and her fiancée, Stephen Fusco.
Karrah was a 2005 graduate of Girls Preparatory School, Chattanooga, TN and a graduate of Furman University located in Greenville, S.C. in 2008. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Tennessee Law School in 2011. Karrah was licensed to practice law in Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
In addition to being academic, her warmth and laughter infected all she touched. She had a passion for those in need, with both two and four legs. She was able to enjoy the experience and learnings of travel and shared her talents of music and theater with others.
The service honoring Karrah’s life on Earth will be at St. James Episcopal Church, 301 Piney Mountain Road, Greenville, S.C. 29609 on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. Visitation with the family will be held at the church at 3:00 p.m. There will be a private burial in Asheville, N.C. on February 16, 2019. As many of you are aware, Karrah, never wanted to inconvenience anyone. To accommodate those out of town, who wish to honor Karrah, her service will be available at stjamesgreenville.org via the live stream button on the home page and recorded for future viewing.
