Kevin Todd Matthews, 43, of Taylors, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2009.Born in Athens, Tennessee, he was the son of Thomas J. Matthews, Sr. and Barbara Walker Matthews.He was a member of the Taylors Church of Christ.He was a loving son, brother, and uncle.After graduating from Eastside High School, he attended Florida College in Temple Terrace, FL. He had a Bachelor of Science degree in both Psychology and Sociology from the University of North Alabama in Florence, AL. He then attended Greenville Tech for a nursing degree. He practiced nursing at Greenville Memorial Hospital before relocating to Tampa, FL. Along with nursing, he was the Director of Nursing in Tampa. He was nursing in California when he became ill. He was residing in the home of his parents when he passed from this life.Along with his parents, he is survived by one brother Tommy Matthews( Julie) and one sister Traci Duncan( Jeff), one nephew: Trey and three nieces: Brittany, Courtney, Macey, special friend Todd Mann, many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
