Born in Shelby, NC, he was the son of the late Joe and Edna Brackett of Ellenboro, NC. After graduating from Shelby High School, Larry went on to serve in the Army. He spent much of his career with the Blood Connection where he worked for 24 years before retiring. Larry was also a proud member of Holmes Pentecostal Tabernacle.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister Theresa Brackett. He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Brackett, his son Scott Brackett, and daughter in law Mandy Ferguson, as well as two grandchildren, Trinity and Ruby Ferguson who he loved dearly.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive Greenville, SC 29609.
