He was born in Albany, New York to Lawrence Joseph Fay and Isabel (Stanton) Fay on March, 27, 1933. He enlisted into the US Navy after graduating high school in 1951 and served as an aircraft electrician until 1955. He worked as an airline mechanic and electrician until his retirement in 1998.
In 1955 he married Hilda Lee Ogle, and after his beloved Hilda died in 1999, Lawrence married Serita Stanley and moved to Mauldin in 2000.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Serita, son David Lawrence Fay (Lisa), daughter Terri Lynne Foster, eight grandchildren, and brother, Vincent Fay. He was predeceased by his wife, Hilda, and brothers, Gerald Fay and Brian Fay.
A graveside service and inurnment will take place on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11:00 am at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville, Maryland.
