LeRoy Poston Sharpe, 82, of Greenville, passed away September 27, 2015 Born in Greenville, LeRoy was a 1951 graduate of Greenville High. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict. LeRoy retired from Lucent Technologies in 1993. He loved to golf and spend time with friends. He passed away at NHC – Greenville on Boiling Springs Road after several years of declining health. The family extends a special thanks to the entire staff of NHC for their love and care of LeRoy. Surviving are his wife, Jean F. Sharpe; stepdaughter Kelly S. Pearce and her husband Frank. He was preceded in death by his parents Warren C. and Wilma P. Sharpe; a sister, Mary S. Ingram; brother, Warren C. Sharpe, Jr., and a stepdaughter Kimberly S. Bower. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 1:00pm at The Mackey Mortuary, with Reverend Shawn O’Shields officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday at 11:30am until 12:45pm at the mortuary.
