He is survived by his loving wife and adventure partner of 31 years, Deborah Cairl Smith, Wellford, SC, his two sons, Jeffery T Smith of Greenville, SC and Robert R Morris, Columbus, Ohio.
Additional family members are his grandchildren, Ethan D McAninch and Abigail J McAninch, Greer, SC, son-in¬-law, Jeff W McAninch and wife Kelly of Greer, SC, his sister, Patricia Beckett, Glastonbury, CT and numerous nieces, nephews and extended loved ones. His daughter, Ruth Anne Morris McAninch predeceased him in 2018.
For many years he was in the Children’s Ministry at Trinity Church International, Lake Worth, Fl as the beloved character “Uracrop”. Mission trips included France, Belgium, Germany, Honduras, Mississippi and China. He was a special pediatric plasma donor. Nothing was too insignificant for him to accomplish on this earth.
A private service will be held.
