Loyce was the daughter of Curtis and Virginia Craig. She was born in Winston-Salem, NC. She lived in Greenville, SC for many years. She was the first graduate of Hampton Park Christian School in a class of her own in 1974. Loyce was an employee of Greenville Hospital System in the Accounting Department. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 23 years, Bill, who was the love of her life and whom she married in 1998. Being a Navy wife was an honor and privilege to her. She was deeply proud of him and their daughter Jennifer to whom she was more than a mother. She was friend, confidante, and partner in crime. She had a close and special relationship with her dear mother-in-law, Pat Johnson. She loved their daily talks.
Her only granddaughter, Kiley, was a source of pride, joy, and love to her.
Her loving sisters, Diane Brewer, Beth Wagner, Nelda Craig, and Rebecca Moffitt, and her "twin" cousin Vicky Koester will remember her as brilliant, funny, with a heart of gold and a head full of knowledge, and keeper of sister secrets and silliness.
She dearly loved her nieces and nephews: Tommy, Rebecca, Stefanie, Travis, and Caitlin. She also dearly loved her great-nephew Andrew, great-niece Liz, and great-nephews Liam and Gabriel.
Her neighbors in Norfolk, VA and all the members of the medical family that were an integral part of her community and care are remembered. She will be remembered for her love of humor, history (especially Egyptian), mermaids, lighthouses, cats, and (many many) crafts. Her Christian faith, her caring ways and pure and gentle soul touched the lives of all with whom she came into contact. She is admired for her strength and determination in the face of many medical and physical challenges without complaint. She never met a stranger and showed kindness to all she met.
Her kitties, Ziva, Abbey, and Belledonna mourn her loss. We will all miss the sunshine she brought into our lives.
We love you "LaLa"
