Born in Greer, SC, daughter of the late Ernest H. and Mamie Miller Hayden, she was a retired employee of Keys Printing Company. She was a graduate of Welcome High School, 1938 and was the class salutatorian. She was also a longtime member of Welcome Baptist Church.
Surviving are her son, James R. Satterfield (Gloria) of Sharpsburg, GA: her daughter Kay S. Sprott (Joe) of Simpsonville, SC: her granddaughter, Hayden Satterfield-Bachand (Joe) of Marietta, GA: her great-granddaughter, Katie Bachand of Marietta, GA. and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her half-sister Gladys L. Lowery, her brother Aubrey C. Hayden, her sisters Vernie H. Bishop and Ruby H. Garrett.
Funeral services will be in the chapel of Mackey Mortuary Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Welcome Baptist Church Cemetery.
