Malcolm Oscar Knight

Malcolm was born January 2, 1924 in Greenville County SC to the late Edwin and Bessie Knight. He served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of WW II. He was a very active member of Leewood Baptist Church for 49 years and most recently a member of Parisview Baptist Church. Malcolm was a staff manager for the Greenville office of Pilot Life Insurance Company and an avid fan of the Clemson Tigers.

Malcolm was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Lou Hall Knight. Also predeceasing him were his three brothers, William, Edwin and James Knight and his sister Rachel Knight Adkins.

He is survived by his children; Susan K. Best (Steve), Malcom G. Knight (Julie), as well as two granddaughters; Kimberly Fort (Will) and Katie Reece (Steven). Surviving also include three great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 10:00AM-11:00AM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609. A graveside service will be held at 11:30AM in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to; Parisview Baptist Church, 100 Bud Street, Greenville SC 29617 or GHS Hospice of the Foothills, 390 Keowee School Road, Seneca, SC 29672.
