“Absent from the body, present with the Lord.” Marie Bennett Bayer entered the presence of her Lord December 5, 2014, just 18 days short of her 90th birthday. Marie worked in the administrative office of Bob Jones University for 24 years. Since her retirement in 1996 she has served as a volunteer at Gospel Fellowship Association. She is survived by a niece and nephew in PA and by many grateful friends around the world who treasured her fellowship and prayers.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Greenville, SC, followed by a private burial.
Memorials may be made to Gospel Fellowship Association Mission or Bob Jones University.
