Marjorie Tuck was born in Teignmouth, Devon, England, daughter of Ivo James Gribble and Mary Kathleen Borlase Gribble. A member of The Greatest Generation, she met the love of her life and husband of 64 years, Clyde Leonard Tuck (dec. May 24, 2011) prior to the D-Day Invasion. After the war, she relocated to Greenville SC and married Leonard.
A loving and devoted mother, she is survived by four children: Vickie Lynn Tuck Foust, Susan Kathleen Tuck, James Leonard Tuck, and Cherry Laraine Tuck Smith. Marjorie is also survived by daughter-in-law Susanne Tuck and son-in-law Greg Smith.
She adored her two granddaughters and their husbands, Amy and Alex Macris, and Sarah and Bradley Beira. The Beira’s have two daughters, Violet and Julia, whom Marjorie treasured.
Services for Marjorie will be held on November 22, 2023 at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn, 1 Pine Knoll Dr. Greenville, SC 29609. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
